Lions at Gir National Park, India

Project Gir

Gir is the home of last few Asiatic Lions in the world. Conservation of these lions depend on the forest guards. Guards not only play an important role in rescue but also prevention of conflict situations with communities living at the periphery of protected areas. These guards lack basic equipment and facilities.
